Bus Route for No. 81 in Jersey City - Sunday, October 5, 2025

Effective Sunday, October 5, from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Montgomery Street will be closed between Warren Street and Greene Street for the Jersey City Road Runners 5K Race.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 81 in Jersey City will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Exchange Place will travel from Grand Street and Jersey Avenue, make a left on Jersey Avenue, right on Montgomery Street, right on Marin Boulevard, right on Grand Street, buses will layover at the bus stop on Marin Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Bayonne will travel from the Marin Boulevard bus stop, continue on Grand Street, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
