Bus Detour for No. 48 in Rahway - Saturday, October 25, 2025

Effective Saturday, October 25, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Irving Street will be closed between Elizabeth Avenue and Milton Avenue for a Halloween Parade.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 48 in Rahway will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy and Woodbridge will travel from Elizabeth Avenue and Main Street, make a left on Main Street, then:
      - For Perth Amboy and Woodbridge via Carteret: continue the regular route.
      - For Woodbridge Service: right on Milton Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
