Bus Detour for No. 48 in Rahway - Sunday, October 12, 2025

Effective Sunday, October 12, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Main Street will be closed between Monroe Street and Elizabeth Avenue for the Viva Rahway event.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 48 in Rahway will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel from Main Street and Monroe Street, make a right on Monroe Street, left on Lawrence Street, left on East Grand Avenue, right on Elizabeth Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
