Bus Detour for Nos. 57 & 115 in Linden – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until 7:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, Elizabeth Avenue will be closed between McCandless Street and Elizabeth Avenue due to road work. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 57 and 115 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Elizabeth and New York will not be affected.   
  • Buses traveling toward Linden and Avanel  will travel from Elizabeth Avenue and McCandless Street, make a right on McCandless Street, left on Bergen Avenue, continue onto Elizabeth Avenue, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
