Bus Detour for No. 159 in Union City - Sunday, September 28, 2025

Effective Sunday, September 28, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Bergenline Avenue will be closed between 48th Street and 2nd Street for Union City's Centennial Parade. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 159 in Union City will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Port Authority Bus Terminal will travel from Bergenline Avenue and 49th Street, make a left on 49th Street, right on Broadway, continue on Park Avenue, make a left on South Marginal Highway, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Fort Lee will travel from New York Avenue and 48th Street, make a right on 48th Street, left on Hudson Avenue, left on 49th Street, right on Bergenline Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
