Bus Detour for Nos. 80 & 86 in Jersey City – Saturday, September 20, 2025

Effective Saturday, September 20, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM, Newark Avenue will be closed between Monmouth Street and Jersey Avenue due to All About Downtown Street Fair. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 80 & 86 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Exchange Place/Jersey City will travel from Newark Avenue and Brunswick Street, make a right on Brunswick Street, left on Christopher Columbus Drive, and then continue the regular route.  
  • Buses traveling toward Gates Avenue/Union City will travel from Christopher Columbus Drive and Jersey Avenue, continue on Christopher Columbus Drive, right on Monmouth Street, left on Newark Avenue, and then continue the regular route.   

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
