Bus Detour for No. 116 in Perth Amboy – Wednesday, October 8, 2025

Effective Wednesday, October 8, from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM, Smith Street will be closed between Oak and Hobart streets due to Perth Amboy due to a Netflix movie shoot.  

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 116 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward New York will travel from Smith and Hobart streets, make a left on Hobart Street, right on Market Street, right on Oak Street, and then continue the regular route.   
  • Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy will travel from Smith and Oak streets, make a right on Oak Street, left on Market Street, left on Hobart Street, right on Smith Street, and then continue the regular route.     

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
