NJ TRANSIT Rail Service for Labor Day Weekend – Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1, 2025

For the Labor Day holiday weekend, Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1, NJ TRANSIT rail service will operate as detailed below. For complete rail schedule information, see Train Schedules.

  • Friday, August 29: Additional trains departing New York, Newark Penn Station, and Hoboken between 2PM and 4PM will operate on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex, and Port Jervis lines.
    • To support the early getaway service outlined above, certain trains throughout the day will be canceled or combined.
  • Saturday, August 30: Trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule.
  • Sunday, August 31: Trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule, including Sports Line service to support travel to/from the Oasis concert at MetLife Stadium.
  • Monday, September 1 (Labor Day): Trains will operate on a normal weekend/major holiday schedule, including Port Jervis Line Train 88 (departing Port Jervis at 4:05 PM) and Sports Line service to support travel to/from the Oasis concert at MetLife Stadium.
