Bus Detour for No. 114 in Plainfield – Saturday, August 16, 2025

Effective Saturday, August 16, from 5:00 AM until 11:00 PM, Watching Avenue will be closed between East 5th and East 7th streets due to a Street Event. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 114 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward PABT will travel from East 7th Street and Park Avenue, left onto Park Avenue, right onto East 5th Street, left onto Watchung Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  
  • Buses traveling toward Bridgewater will travel from Watchung Avenue and East 4th Street, make a right onto East 4th Street, left onto Park Avenue, right onto East 7th Street, and then continue the regular route.    

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
