Bus Detour for No. 86 in Jersey City - Effective Immediately

Effective immediately until Friday, August 1, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Palisade Avenue will be closed between Route 139 and Newark Avenue for milling and paving.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 86 in Jersey City will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Jersey City Newport Center will travel from Palisade Avenue and Beacon, make a right on Beacon, left on Baldwin, cross over Route 139, left on Newark Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward Union City will travel from Palisade Avenue and Newark Avenue, pass Palisade Avenue, make a right on Baldwin, right on Beacon, left on Palisade Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
