Bus Detour for No. 84 in Jersey City - Effective Immediately

Effective immediately until Friday, August 1, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Palisade Avenue will be closed between Route 139 and Newark Avenue for milling and paving.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 84 in Jersey City will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Journal Square will travel from Palisade Avenue and Beacon Avenue, make a right on Beacon Avenue, left on Central Avenue, cross over Route 139, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward North Bergen will travel from Palisade Avenue and Newark Avenue, pass Palisade Avenue, make a right on Baldwin Avenue, right on Route 139, left on Palisade Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
