Bus Detour for No. 72 in Paterson - Sunday, July 27, 2025

Effective Sunday, July 27, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Main Street will be closed between Crooks Avenue and Market Street for the Peruvian Day Parade. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 72 in Paterson will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from the Broadway Bus Terminal, make a left on Broadway, left on Curtis Place, right on Van Houten Street, right on Ellison Street, left on Mill Street, right on Oliver Street, enter Route 19 South, continue on Broad Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Paterson will travel from Marshall Street and Court Street, continue on Marshall Street, make a left on Valley Road, bear right on Route 19 North, exit Grand Street, left on Grand Street, right on Spruce Street, right on McBride Avenue, then continue on Ellison Street, left on Main Street, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
