Bus Detour for Nos. 171, 175 & 178 in Fort Lee – Friday, July 25, 2025

Effective from 5:00 AM on Friday, July 25, through 10:00 PM on Sunday, July 27, George Washington Bridge Plaza East will be closed between Lemoine Avenue and Hudson Street due to sidewalk and curb replacement work.  

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 171, 175 & 178 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward GWB will travel from Exit 73 for Lemoine Avenue in Fort Lee, make a left on Center Street, right for temporary bus stop at GWB Plaza East temporary bus stop at Center Avenue and Bruce Reynolds Boulevard, make a right on the ramp to access GWB Toll Plaza, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
