Bus Detour for No. 813 in Metuchen - Monday, July 14, 2025

Effective Monday, July 14, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, New Street will be closed between Main Street and Center Street for the Metuchen Downtown Summer Concert.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 813 in Metuchen will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy will travel from Main Street and Amboy Avenue, make a left on Amboy Avenue, right on Lake Avenue, right on Middlesex Avenue, boarding and alighting passengers on Middlesex Avenue between Center Street and Pearl Street, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward Middlesex County College will travel from Amboy Avenue and Main Street, continue on Amboy Avenue, make a right on Lake Avenue, right on Middlesex Avenue, boarding and alighting passengers on Middlesex Avenue between Center Street and Pearl Street, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
