Bus Detour for Nos. 84 & 86 in Union City – Thursday, June 26, 2025

Effective immediately and continuing until Friday, June 27 at 4:00 PM, Bergenline Avenue will be closed between 6th and 2nd streets due to road paving. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 84 and 86 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Journal Square & Jersey City will travel from Bergenline Avenue and 6th Street, make a left on 6th Street, right on Palisade Avenue, and then continue the regular route.     
• Buses traveling toward North Bergen & Union City will not be affected.      

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
