Contract Support Services
The Business Development Contract Compliance Unit is responsible for reviewing the size and scope of NJ TRANSIT Contracts, identifying sub-contracting opportunities and establishing DBE contract goals. This unit also monitors and enforces contract compliance of the DBE Program on NJ TRANSIT contracts in accordance with 49 CFR, Part 26. The compliance unit ensures continual progression toward achieving DBE and SBE contract goals, the usage of DBEs and SBEs in the absence of a goal, and overall attainment of NJ TRANSIT's DBE and SBE Agency Goals. It routinely conducts unannounced site inspections to ensure that DBEs and SBEs are working on projects for which they have been contracted, verifies prompt payments, and addresses other contractual issues between prime contractors and DBE/SBE subcontractors.
