Bus Detour for No. 817 in Keyport – Wednesday, September 3, 2025

Effective Wednesday, September 3, from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM, 1st Street will be closed between Atlantic and Walnut streets due to road work.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 817 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Campbell’s Junction will travel from 1st and Atlantic streets, make a right on Atlantic Street, left on Maple Place, right on Green Grove Avenue, left on Florence Avenue, left on Stone Road, right on Walnut Street, right on 1st Street, and then continue the regular route.  
  • Buses traveling to Perth Amboy will travel from 1st and Walnut streets, make a left on Walnut Street, left on Stone Road, right on Florence Avenue, right on Green Grove Avenue, left on Maple Place, right on Atlantic Street, left on 1st Street, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
