Bus Detour for No. 87 in Jersey City – Saturday, August 30, 2025

Effective Saturday, August 30 at 12:00 AM, and continuing until January 1, 2026, Journal Square Platform B will be closed between Pavonia and Sip avenues due to the Lane A reopening. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 87 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Hoboken will use Platform D-1 and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Gates Avenue will travel from Summit and Pavonia avenues, make a right on Pavonia Avenue, left into Platform A-2, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
