Metuchen Station: Possible Delays due to Low-Level Platforming - Weekends of August 15 to 18, and August 22 to 25, 2025

Due to Amtrak track maintenance, customers are required to use low-level platforms with no level-boarding or detraining available during the following dates/times:

  • 10:00 PM Friday, August 15 until 5:00 AM Monday, August 18: Low-level boarding on Track 4 (westbound/to Trenton)
  • 10:00 PM Friday, August 22 until 5:00 AM Monday, August 25: Low-level boarding on Track 1 (eastbound/to Newark/New York) 

August 15 to 18: Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible on westbound trains from Metuchen to Trenton stations.

  • Customers requiring level boarding or detraining on Track 4 should:
    • If you are boarding at stations from New York through Metropark and detraining at Metuchen: detrain at Metropark Station and call (908) 324-3517 to arrange for Access Link transport to Metuchen.
    • If you are traveling FROM Metuchen and detraining at stations from Edison to Trenton: Call (908) 324-3517 to arrange for Access Link transport from Metuchen to Edison. Board the train at Edison to continue your trip.

August 22 to 25: Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible on eastbound trains from Metuchen to New York stations.

  • Customers requiring level boarding or detraining on Track 1 should:
    • If you are boarding at stations from Trenton through Edison and detraining at Metuchen: detrain at Edison Station and call (908) 324-3517 to arrange for Access Link transport to Metuchen.
    • If you are traveling FROM Metuchen and detaining at stations from Metropark to New York: Call (908) 324-3517 to arrange for Access Link transport from Metuchen to Metropark. Board the train at Metropark to continue your trip.

Please ensure there is sufficient time to complete all connections before service concludes for the day.
