Bus Detour for No. 123 in Jersey City – Wednesday, July 16, 2025

Effective Wednesday, July 16, at 7:00 AM until Friday, July 25 at 5:00 PM, Palisade Avenue will be closed between Paterson Plank Road and Beacon Avenue due to milling and paving.   

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 123 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward PABT will travel from layover bus stop, make a left on Beacon Road, right on Central Avenue, right on Paterson Plank Road, left on Palisade Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward Jersey City will travel from Palisade Avenue and Paterson Plank Road, make a right on Paterson Plank Road, make a left on Central Avenue, left on Route 139 East, left on Palisade Avenue, and then continue the regular route.   

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
