Bus Detour for No. 48 in Rahway – Tuesday, August 5, 2025

Effective Tuesday, August 5, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Irving Street will be closed between Broad Street and Milton Avenue due to the Rahway National Night Out. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 48 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy/Woodbridge will travel from Irving and Broad streets, make a right on Broad Street, right on Cherry Street, left on Esterbrook Avenue, Perth Amboy Service will make a left on Milton Avenue, Woodbridge Service will make a right on Milton Avenue, and then both buses will continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
