Important Rail Service Update for North Jersey Coast Line – Friday, June 20, 2025

Rail service on the North Jersey Coast Line to and from Penn Station New York will remain suspended in both directions throughout Friday, June 20, due to downed trees on the wires and tracks near Middletown caused by Thursday's severe storms. Crews are working around the clock to safely clear the debris and restore service as quickly as possible.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by NJ TRANSIT and private carrier buses.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to restore safe and reliable service.

Customers are encouraged to check for alternate travel options using ABC (Alternate, Back-up, and Contingency) plans.
