Bus Detour for Nos. 89 and 84P in North Bergen - Saturday, June 14, 2025

Effective Saturday, June 14, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Bergenline Avenue will be closed between John F. Kennedy Boulevard and 76th Street for the Sacco 5K Race.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 89 and 84P (Park Avenue Service) in North Bergen will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Journal Square and Hoboken will travel from the Walgreens bus stop, continue on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, make a left on 76th Street, left on Bergenline Avenue, right on 79th Street, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward North Bergen will travel from Bergenline Avenue and 77th Street, make a left on Bergenline Avenue, right on 76th Street, right on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, at John F. Kennedy Boulevard and 91st Street stay in the left lane, keep left to continue on Bergen Boulevard, right on Harding Place, right on Fairview Avenue, right on Bergenline Avenue, right on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, layover in front of the Walgreens bus stop on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
