Bus Detour for No. 86 in Jersey City – Saturday, June 14, 2025

Effective Saturday, June 14, from 9:00 AM through 11:00 AM, Washington Boulevard/Washington Street will be closed between Newport Parkway and Christopher Columbus Drive due to the Holi Hai Color Walk. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 86 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newport Centre Mall will not be affected.  
• Buses traveling toward Union City will travel from Newport Parkway and Mall Drive East, make a right on Mall Drive East, right on Thomas Gangemi Drive, and then continue the regular route.     

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
