Bus Detour for Nos. 156 & 159 in Edgewater – Thursday, June 12, 2025

Effective Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 AM, through Friday, June 13 at 5:00 PM, River Road will be closed between Gorge Road and Anthony DeFino Way due to milling and paving. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 156 and 159 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward PABT will travel from Gorge Road and Laird Avenue, make a right on Laird Avenue, left on Palisade Avenue, left on Woodcliff Avenue, left on Boulevard East, left on Anthony DeFino Way, right on Port Imperial Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward Englewood Cliffs & Fort Lee will travel from Port Imperial Boulevard and Anthony DeFino Way, left on Anthony DeFino Way, right on Boulevard East, right on Woodcliff Avenue, right on Palisade Avenue, right on Laird Avenue, left on Gorge Road, and then continue the regular route.    

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
