Bus Detour for No. 559 in Toms River – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until Saturday, June 14 at 6:00 AM, Route 9 will be closed between Indian Head and Stevens roads due to road construction. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 559 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Lakewood will travel from Route 9 North and Indian Head Road, make a right on Indian Head Road, right on Whitesville Road, right on Stevens Road, left on Route 9 North, and then continue the regular route.    
• Buses traveling toward Atlantic City will travel from Route 9 South and Stevens Road, make a right on Stevens Road, left on Whitesville Road, left on Indian Head Road, right on Route 9 South, and then continue on the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
