Bus Detour for No. 25 in Newark – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until Sunday, June 8, Ferry Street will be closed between Raymond Plaza East and Jackson Street due to the Portuguese Day Festival.  

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 25 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Market and Ferry streets, bear left on Market Street, on Mott Street, right on Ferry Street, left on St. Charles Street, right on Avenue L, left on Wilson Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Maplewood will travel from Wilson Avenue and Avenue L, make a right on Avenue L, left on St. Charles Street, right on Ferry Street, left on Freeman Street, left on Raymond Boulevard, bear left on Market Street, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
