Bus Detour for No. 810 in Metuchen – Friday, June 6, 2025

Effective Friday, June 6, from 12:30PM until 9:00 PM, New Street will be closed between Main and Center streets due to the Metuchen 125th Anniversary celebration.   

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 81 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward New Brunswick will travel from Amboy Avenue and Main Street, continue on Amboy Avenue, right on Lake Avenue, right on Middlesex Avenue, right on Main Street, and then continue the regular route.   
  • Buses traveling toward Woodbridge Center Mall will travel from Lake and Amboy Avenues, continue on Lake Avenue, right on Middlesex Avenue, right on Main Street, and then continue the regular route.           

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
