Effective Monday, June 9 at 7:00 AM, and continuing until Friday, June 13, at 6:00 PM, Shore Road will be closed between Goll and East New Jersey avenues due to an ADA ramp instillation.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 509 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Atlantic City will travel from Shore Road and Goll Avenue, make a right on Goll Avenue, left on Bay Avenue, left on East New Jersey Avenue, right on Shore Road, continue on Route 9, right on Sea Shore Road, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward Cape May will travel from Sea Shore Road and Route 9, make a left on Route 9, bear right on route 109, continue on route 109 onto Lafayette Street, right into the welcome center, and conclude the trip.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.

We appreciate your patience as we accommodate this temporary routing adjustment.
