Bus Detour for Nos. 29 & 71 in West Caldwell – Monday, May 26, 2025

Effective Monday, May 26, from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Bloomfield Avenue will be closed between Roseland and Passaic avenues due to a Memorial Day Parade.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 29 and 71 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Bloomfield and Passaic avenues, continue straight on Passaic Avenue, left on Westville Avenue, left on Roseland Avenue, right on Bloomfield Avenue, Bus No. 71 will make a right onto Roseland Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
  • Buses traveling toward West Caldwell will travel from Bloomfield and Roseland avenues, make a left on Roseland Avenue, right on Westville Avenue, right on Passaic Avenue, left on Bloomfield Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
