Bus Detour for No. 1 (Weekdays Only) in Jersey City - Monday, May 24 to Friday, August 27, 2021

Beginning at 7:30 Monday, May 24 and continuing on weekdays only until Friday, August 27, Pacific Avenue will be closed between Grand Street and Communipaw Avenue for utility work. During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 1 in Jersey City will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Exchange Place will travel from Communipaw Avenue and Grand Street, make a left on Grand Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Grand Street and Pacific Avenue, continue on Grand Street, make a right on Communipaw Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Note: Bus stops may be lost during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully, and allow for extra travel time.

NJ TRANSIT has resumed front-door bus boarding and cash fare collection on buses with protective barriers installed around the operator. Buses without protective barriers will continue to board from the rear, and cash collection will remain suspended.
