Port Jervis Line: Buses Replace Trains due to Viaduct Maintenance - Weekend | Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16, 2021

Beginning late Friday, May 14 and continuing through early Sunday evening, May 16, buses (operated by Leprechaun Bus Company) will replace Port Jervis Line trains between Harriman and Port Jervis stations due to maintenance work on the Moodna Viaduct.

FROM Harriman Station to Port Jervis Station

Friday, May 14:

  • Buses will replace the following trains from Harriman Station:
    • 11:30PM (Train No. 67)
    • 2:09AM (Train No. 69)

Saturday, May 15:

  • Buses will replace ALL Port Jervis Line trains between Harriman and Port Jervis stations.

Sunday, May 16:

  • Buses will replace the following trains from Harriman Station: 
    • 10:22AM (Train No. 71)
    • 12:28PM (Train No. 73)
    • 2:44PM (Train No. 75)
    • 5:09PM (Train No. 77)

Train service will resume with the 7:20PM (Train No. 79) departure from Harriman to Port Jervis.

Customers boarding buses at Harriman should confirm with the bus operator to ensure they are boarding the correct bus; not all buses will serve all stations. 

FROM Port Jervis Station to Harriman Station

Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16:

  • Express and local buses will replace ALL Port Jervis Line trains between Port Jervis and Harriman stations.
  • Express buses will serve Port Jervis, Middletown, Campbell Hall and Harriman Stations only. 
  • Local buses will serve all stations, but will not connect with the train at Harriman. Customers traveling from Otisville can use Port Jervis or Middletown stations to reach Harriman. Customers traveling from Salisbury Mills should use Harriman Station.
    • Note: The local bus replacing Train 82 will continue from Harriman to Route 17 and connect with NJ TRANSIT Train 1786, departing Route 17 at 12:14 AM

Nearby NJ stations, such as Ramsey Route 17, will continue to operate regular train service during this outage.
