THE HOLIDAY EXPRESS IS COMING: A SPECIAL RETAIL PROMOTION FOR LIGHT RAIL TO BAYONNE, JERSEY CITY AND HOBOKEN
JERSEY CITY, NJ December 6, 2002 – On Saturday, December 14th , area residents can meet Santa at three light rail stations in the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system to encourage consumers to shop and dine the Bayonne-Jersey City-Hoboken route and to ride light rail.
The Holiday Express is coming … with Santa riding for the Saturday, December 14th run, greeting everyone, stopping where candy canes and carolers can be found. The festive atmosphere includes some entertaining surprises and free photos with Santa, on a first come, first serve basis. Best of all: Holiday Express Savings Booklets will be distributed FREE to all that come to these three stations along the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail … to shop, dine and ride in Jersey City, Hoboken and Bayonne whenever possible.

The Holiday Express Savings Booklets promotion runs from Saturday, December 14, 2002 until Friday, January 31, 2003, and is NJ TRANSIT’s way of saying ‘thanks’ to all their riders who enjoy using Hudson-Bergen Light Rail.
Holiday Express Savings Booklets – distributed FREE, offering retail savings at more than 40 participating establishments – will also be available starting on Monday, December 16 at Fleet Banks in Hoboken, Jersey City and Bayonne, and at the historic Hoboken Terminal. The offers will also be on the NJ TRANSIT website under “Special Promotions.”
