Bus Detour for No. 31 in Newark – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until Sunday, June 8, Ferry Street will be closed between Raymond Plaza East and Jackson Street due to the Portuguese Day Festival.  

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 31 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Ferry Street and Raymond Plaza East, make a left onto Market Street, left on Van Buren Street, left onto Raymond Boulevard, bear left on Market Street, and then layover.   
• Buses traveling toward Dover Street/South Orange will not be affected.    

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
