Hudson-Bergen Light Rail: Supplemental Bus Service due to Ongoing Track Work – Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, 2025

Due to ongoing track work, Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate with the following changes on Saturday and Sunday.

Service Changes:

  • From 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, and from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, buses will replace regular HBLR service between Newport Station and Hoboken Terminal & Newport Station and 2nd Street Station.

  • From 12:30 AM on Saturday, through Sunday at 9:00 PM, all HBLR trains will board on Track No. 2 at 34th Street and 45th Street stations. 

  • After 9:00 PM on Sunday, normal weekend service will resume.

Northbound Departures (in minutes after the hour):

  • 8th Street to Newport - :07, :37

  • West Side Avenue to Newport - :08, :38

  • 2nd Street to Tonnelle Avenue - :01, :31

Southbound Departures (in minutes after the hour):

  • Tonnelle Avenue to 2nd Street - :27, :57

  • Newport to West Side Avenue - :10, :40

  • Newport to 8th Street - :01, :31

 

8:00PM to End of Service on Saturday

Northbound Departures (in minutes after the hour):

  • 8th Street to Hoboken Terminal - :07, :37

  • West Side Avenue to Tonnelle Avenue - :08, :28, :48

Southbound Departures (in minutes after the hour):

  • Tonnelle Avenue to West Side Avenue - :16, :36, :56

  • Hoboken Terminal to 8th Street - :05, :35

 

After 9:00PM on Sunday, normal weekend service will resume.
