Bus Detour for No. 709 in Bloomfield - Monday, May 26, 2025

Effective Monday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Broad Avenue will be closed between Washington Street and Bay Avenue for the Memorial Day Parade. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 709 in Bloomfield will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Bloomfield will travel from Broughton Avenue and Chapel Street, make a left on Chapel Street, right on JFK Drive North, right on Locust Avenue, right on Prospect Street, right on Glenwood Avenue, right on Conger Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Paramus will travel from Conger Street and Bloomfield Avenue, continue on Municipal Plaza (Montgomery Street), left on JFK Drive North, left on Liberty Street, right on JFK Drive North, left on Chapel Street, right on Broughton Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
