Bus Detour for No. 59 and 112 in Elizabeth - Tuesday, May 27, to Friday, May 30, 2025

Effective Tuesday, May 27, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM until Friday, May 30, West Jersey Street will be closed between Chilton Street and Cherry Street for road work.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 59 and 112 in Elizabeth will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark/New York will travel from West Jersey Street and Chilton Street, make a right on Chilton Street, left on Murray Street, left on Cherry Street, right on West Jersey Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Dunellen/Clark/Scotch Plains will travel from West Jersey Street and Cherry Street, make a right on Cherry Street, left on West Grand Street, left on Chilton Street, right on West Jersey Street, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
