Bus Detour for No. 34 in Newark - Thursday, May 29, 2025

Effective Thursday, May 29, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Market Street will be closed between Washington Street and Broad Street for a special event.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 34 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward South Street will travel from Market Street and University Avenue, make a right on University Avenue, left on Court Street, left on Broad Street, right on Lafayette Street, left on Mulberry Street, right on Market Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Bloomfield will travel from Market Street and Mulberry Street, make a right on Mulberry Street, left on Raymond Boulevard, left on University Avenue, right on Market Street, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
