UPDATE: Hudson-Bergen Light Rail: West Side Avenue Station to Resume Light Rail Service: Further Adjustments Beginning Saturday, May 30, 2020

Beginning Saturday, May 30, both tracks 1 and 2 will reopen at Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s (HBLR) West Side Avenue (WSA) Station with minor schedule modifications as follows:

Service Information:

  • Beginning Saturday, May 30, WSA Branch service will operate on a regular Saturday schedule for all 3 stations until further notice. Click HERE for HBLR schedule.
  • The last day of WSA Branch shuttle-bus service was Friday, May 22.
  • All WSA stations (Garfield, MLK and West Side Avenue) opened for light rail train service on Saturday, May 23.

Note: Trains will continue operating on a single track with 3 trains per hour on the WSA Branch through the end of service, Friday, May 29.

  • Departure times through Friday, May 29 are as follows (in minutes past the hour):
    • WSA Station northbound departures:
      • :03
      • :23
      • :43
      • After midnight, the 12:23 a.m. will now operate at 12:21 a.m.
    • Tonnelle Avenue Station departures:
      • The 1:01 a.m. will now operate at 1:05 a.m.
    • 8th Street Station departures:
      • The :54 will now operate at :57.

These adjustments come after the completion of earlier utility work by the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority.
