Help Us Help You

NJ TRANSIT is working around the clock, trying to stay ahead of COVID-19. There is deep cleaning of trains, buses and light rail vehicles every 24 hours (cleaning and disinfecting), as well as routine cleaning of vehicles during the day. Meanwhile, frequent cleaning is taking place at major stations and terminals throughout the day, including frequent touchpoints such as Ticket Vending Machines door handles, seating areas, restrooms and more. You can read more about that in this issue of FYI.

While we are doing our part, we’re asking you to help us out. Please dispose of your garbage in trash receptacles on your train or bus, or in your station. In particular, properly dispose of face coverings, masks, gloves or other protective gear. Proper disposal of protective equipment is a matter of public health – it helps slow the spread of COVID-19. Recycling bins for newspapers are also available on platforms.

Thank you for your consideration. We’re all in this together.
