REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Hoboken Terminal Newsstand Concession

NJ TRANSIT is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from experienced, financially sound individuals or entities to propose the operation of a Newsstand Concession at NJ TRANSIT’s historic Hoboken Terminal.

NJ TRANSIT’s Hoboken Terminal is a major transportation terminal attracting weekday patrons from NJ TRANSIT commuter rail lines, Light Rail Customers, NY Waterway Riders, and PATH. The Terminal is located  along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, connecting pedestrians to Hudson County’s most scenic waterfront neighborhoods and businesses. It is also just steps from the heart of the bustling Hoboken commercial and residential district. Lastly, Hoboken Connect, the long-envisioned revitalization project of the area in and around the Terminal is set to kick off in the very near future.

The available space consists of an inline store of approximately 300 sq.ft. located in the main corridor of Hoboken Terminal Main Concourse with entrances from both the Main Waiting Room and Main Concourse areas. Proposal concepts must include newsstand items and pre-packaged snacks. Food preparation and cooking that required venting is prohibited. Proposers should also include attractive improvements and designs that will complement the retail environment of Hoboken Terminal.
