
The River LINE — Connecting Communities Along the Delaware
The River LINE is NJ TRANSIT’s 34-mile light rail system linking Camden and Trenton with stops in Pennsauken, Riverside, Burlington, and other vibrant South Jersey communities along the Delaware River. Opened in 2004, the River LINE provides a safe, affordable, and sustainable way to travel between key destinations — and connects seamlessly to NJ TRANSIT rail and bus routes, SEPTA, PATCO, and Amtrak.

About the River LINE
While originally managed under contract, the River LINE will be operated solely by NJ TRANSIT beginning in early 2026 - ensuring consistent service quality, safety, and integration with the state’s public transit network. Maintenance of the River LINE equipment will be by Kinkisharyo International of Piscataway, New Jersey.
