NJ TRANSIT'S EVENING RUSH HOUR TO OPERATE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE INTO AND OUT OF NEW YORK
MidTOWN DIRECT Service Resumes into Manhattan

NEWARK, NJ – NJ TRANSIT is and will continue to operate regular service during the evening rush hour on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line into and out of Penn Station New York. In addition, MidTOWN DIRECT service has resumed operating into and out of New York as of 11:00 a.m.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., NJ TRANSIT’s Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line began operating on a normal schedule with minor delays into and out of Penn Station New York, after Amtrak completed repairs to a downed overhead wire between Secaucus Junction and New York. NJ TRANSIT is currently operating on or close to schedule on all of its lines.
To accommodate customers, NJ TRANSIT tickets will continue to be cross-honored with NJ TRANSIT bus, rail and light rail services, as well as PATH and private bus companies traveling into and out of New York for the rest of the day.
