LITTLE SILVER RAILROAD CROSSING TO CLOSE FOR CONSTRUCTION

NEWARK -Beginning October 4, NJ TRANSIT will close the White Road grade crossing in Little Silver to begin railroad construction.

The project, which is expected to last three weeks, will include track replacement and resurfacing at the crossing. Only local traffic will be permitted to enter White Road at Broad Street and Branch Avenue during the construction phase.

Train service will not be impacted; however, customers will not be able to use White Road to access Little Silver Station.

During the construction project, customers will be directed to use either Sycamore Avenue or Pinckney Road to Branch Avenue, which will allow access to Little Silver Station.

Customers are advised to allow for extra travel time to reach Little Silver Station while construction is underway. For further information, customers may call NJ TRANSIT Customer Service at 1-800-772-2222.
