DISCOUNT FOR ANNUAL PARKING PASS INTRODUCED AT RAMSEY ROUTE 17

NEWARK, NJ ¿ Responding to customer feedback from a recent community forum, NJ TRANSIT today announced new discount options for commuters at the Ramsey Route 17 parking deck. Customers now have the opportunity to purchase an annual pass for $550 ¿ $170 less than the cost of buying 12 individual monthly passes and $490 less than paying the daily rate each business day. NJ TRANSIT also introduced a three-month pass for $165 and a six-month pass for $300.

¿These discounts provide another incentive for customers to use the new station and its 1,200 parking spots,¿ said NJ TRANSIT Executive Director George D. Warrington.

Customers must purchase their passes by April 1, 2005 to take advantage of this offer.

Conveniently located on one of Bergen County¿s busiest highways, the Ramsey Route 17 Station is easily accessible from most parts of Rockland, Orange and northern Bergen counties. Customers can travel to Hoboken Terminal or to Secaucus Junction where they have access to midtown Manhattan rail service.

Connecting to New York through Secaucus Junction saves commuters as much as 20 minutes in each direction.

Two inbound weekday express trains, en route to Secaucus Junction and Hoboken, depart the Ramsey Route 17 Station at 7:09 a.m. and 7:38 a.m. In the evening, two outbound express trains depart Hoboken at 5:42 and 6:27 p.m., stopping at Secaucus Junction and Ramsey Route 17. Customers should check their train schedules for additional service information.

Daily parking is $4 on weekdays before 10:00 a.m., and $2 after 10:00 a.m. and on weekends. Individual monthly passes are available for $60 per month. Also, NJ TRANSIT is offering a free ¿See More¿ stuffed Dalmatian to the first 200 customers who purchase a discounted monthly parking passes at the station.
