Journal Square Lane Closure Information Stage 5 - Monday, June 1, 2026

Effective Monday, June 1, phase 5 of the construction project at Journal Square Transportation Center will begin. During this construction, ONLY Lane A will be closed.

The 1, 8, and 14 lines will board and alight along Sip Avenue between Jones Street and Summit Avenue between 4:30 AM and 11:00 PM.

Please note that all overnight service, including the 119, will be moved to Lane B.

Lane A:

  • CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION

Lane B (All overnight service 11:01 PM - 4:59 AM):

  • B1 – 80 and 87 to Jersey City/Gates Avenue via Society Hill and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
  • B2 – 2 and 10 to Secaucus and Bayonne (NJT 1 overnight service to Newark 11:01 PM – 4:59 AM)
  • B4 – 6 and 16 serving Jersey City via Ocean Avenue and Newport Mall via Liberty State Park (NJT 119 to New York 11:01 PM - 4:29 AM)

Lane C: 

  • C1 – 83 to Hackensack
  • C2 – 84 to North Bergen
  • C3 – 88 to North Bergen
  • C4 – 125 to New York

Lane D:

  • D1 – 87 to Hoboken
  • D3 – 80 to Exchange Place
  • D4 – 319 to Atlantic City
