Regular Season Rail Service Begins Sunday, September 13

September 10, 2026

NEWARK, NJ – Giants and Jets fans can skip the driving and parking this season with NJ TRANSIT’s DoorDash Meadowlands Rail Line service to MetLife Stadium. Beginning this Sunday evening, September 13 with the Giants hosting the Dallas Cowboys, and continuing through the season, NJ TRANSIT will be offering train service on the DoorDash Meadowlands Rail Line to and from Secaucus Junction for every Giants or Jets home game.

Complete gameday rail schedules are posted on njtransit.com/nfl closer to the event date.

Event-Based Ticket Purchasing Through NJT Mobile App

As of September 9, the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App includes a new feature that allows customers to purchase eventbased rail tickets to MetLife Stadium directly through the app. Customers will choose the specific game or event they are attending to purchase a rail ticket. Event tickets are valid only for the selected event date and will automatically activate on that day, eliminating the need for customers to manually activate their tickets before travel.

Tickets for the September 13 Giants-Cowboys game are now available through this new feature.

Event specific rail tickets are available for purchase on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app, at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs), at ticket offices and through web tickets on njtransit.com.

New Wristband Procedure

On the heels of its successful process during the World Cup, NJ TRANSIT will provide customers with a wristband after the customer displays their valid DoorDash Meadowlands Rail Line ticket train at designated areas of Secaucus Junction Station. The wristband will be used as proof of fare payment for the return trip following the game.

DoorDash Meadowlands Rail Line tickets are currently available on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app, at ticket vending machines or ticket offices. Customers headed to this weekend’s Cowboys vs. Giants game must purchase a valid Meadowlands ticket and display it on arrival at Secaucus Junction in order to receive a wristband for travel to and from the game.

Only customers with wristbands will be allowed to board the DoorDash Meadowlands Rail Line at Secaucus Junction and Meadowlands Station.

Note: Customers who travel by other means to Jets and Giants games and other events and wish to purchase a DoorDash Meadowlands Rail Line ticket to Secaucus Junction after the game can do so, but tickets must be purchased online via the NJ TRANSIT mobile app or electronically (no cash) from an NJ TRANSIT ticket agent at a designated area outside of the stadium. Tickets purchased electronically from an NJ TRANSIT ticket agent are only valid for travel from MetLife Stadium to Secaucus. An additional ticket must be purchased for further travel on NJ TRANSIT from Secaucus to the final destination. Customers will be provided with the necessary wristband to board the train to Secaucus after payment has been accepted or a valid ticket is presented.
