REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Metropark Station Retail Concessions

NJ TRANSIT is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from experienced, financially sound individuals or entities to propose operation of two retail concession spaces at NJ TRANSIT’s Metropark Station.

NJ TRANSIT’s Metropark Station is a major transportation hub attracting weekday patrons from NJ TRANSIT commuter rail line, as well as interstate rail travel via Amtrak. The Station is located along the Northeast Corridor allowing for direct connections to Trenton Transit Center, Newark Penn Station, Secaucus Junction and New York Penn Station. Additionally, plans are in place to break ground on a new transit-oriented development project, which is expected to bring hundreds of residential apartments and office space just steps from the Station.

The proposer can expect to be the sole operator of two strategically located concessions - one boasting approximately 300 sq. ft. and its counterpart, directly opposite, featuring around 275 sq. ft. Proposers are encouraged to tailor each space to a unique vision. Whether it's a captivating newsstand, an inviting coffee concession, or an innovative concept that stands out – something which enhances the needs of the traveling public.

Selection of a Lessee(s) will be based upon review of proposals submitted to NJ TRANSIT in response to a Request for Proposal package issued to parties submitting an Expression of Interest.
