Official Rules – NJ TRANSIT Z100’s Jingle Ball Sweepstakes 

Prize: Two (2) tickets to the Z100’s Jingle Ball concert on December 12, 2025, at Madison Square Garden and two (2) roundtrip NJ TRANSIT train tickets to and from the concert. Total of one (1) winner.

  • No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited. Ordinary mobile service charges may apply and are the sole responsibility of each Sweepstakes entrant. You may view NJ TRANSIT’s Privacy Policy at https://www.njtransit.com/privacy-and-terms.
  • Promotion period starts at 12:01 AM ET on December 2, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM ET on December 8, 2025 (“Sweepstakes Period”).
  • To enter, participants must post on Instagram only. Fans are invited to share an in-feed photo or video that showcases how they “sleigh their commute with NJ TRANSIT” featuring one of the following:
    • A local NJ TRANSIT train or train station, a NJ TRANSIT bus or bus stop, or an onboard selfie on a NJ TRANSIT vehicle.
    • All posts must include hashtag #SleighWithNJT.
    • Follow @NJTRANSIT and tag in the post.
    • Be set to public and remain visible on Instagram through the end of the Sweepstakes Period and winner selection.
    • Only one (1) entry per Instagram account will be accepted. Multiple or duplicate entries will be disqualified. Posts must be made to the user’s Instagram feed. Posts to stories do not qualify as a valid entry.  
  • Entrants must be a legal resident of New Jersey and 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees or immediate family members of NJ TRANSIT are not eligible entrants.
  • No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted except by NJ TRANSIT in its sole discretion.
  • All federal, state, local, and other applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and any other rules and regulations adopted by NJ TRANSIT.
  • NJ TRANSIT assumes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate entry information. NJ TRANSIT is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, or errors in the printing, administration, or announcement of the Sweepstakes or its winners.
  • NJ TRANSIT reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes. NJ TRANSIT also reserves the right to disqualify any individual it suspects or finds (a) tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, (b) violated these Official Rules, or (c) acted in an unsportsmanlike, disruptive, or harassing manner.
  • One (1) winning entry will be randomly selected from all eligible entries by NJ TRANSIT’s Marketing Department on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET. Winners will be notified via Instagram DM before 5:00 PM ET on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, and must respond no later than 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday December 10, 2025, or risk forfeiting the prize. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. All determinations by NJ TRANSIT are final. Prizes will be coordinated and fulfilled electronically or by mail. All additional costs, including travel, food, and incidentals, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

  • In consideration for participating in this Sweepstakes, all entrants release and hold harmless NJ TRANSIT from all claims relating to the Sweepstakes and/or the prizes.

Official Rules – NJ TRANSIT Sleigh the Season Sweepstakes 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Sponsor

The NJ TRANSIT Sleigh the Season Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by New Jersey Transit Corporation (“NJ TRANSIT”) located at 2 Gateway 283-299 Market Street, Newark, NJ 07102.

NJ TRANSIT is an instrumentality of the State of New Jersey. Participation by NJ TRANSIT employees, officers, or agents may be subject to the New Jersey Conflicts of Interest Law (N.J.S.A. 52:13D-12 et seq.) and related ethics regulations. Any such participation that would violate applicable ethics rules is prohibited. By entering, participants acknowledge that NJ TRANSIT is a public entity and that their participation, as well as any personal information provided, is subject to applicable public records and disclosure laws.

2. Eligibility

Open only to legal residents of the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of NJ TRANSIT and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or household members (whether related or not) of such employees are not eligible to participate or win. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.

3. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins on December 2, 2025 at 5:00 PM (Eastern Time), and ends on December 8, 2025 at 5:00 PM (Eastern Time)[JD1]  (“Sweepstakes Period”). All entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible.

4. How to Enter 

During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible participants must complete all of the following steps:

  1. Take a festive selfie on board an NJ TRANSIT train, bus, light rail, or Access Link, or take a seasonal photo at any NJ TRANSIT station.
  2. Post the photo on Instagram.
  3. Tag @njtransit in the post (the “Entry”).
  4. Follow @njtransit on Instagram. Specific content or caption requirements, if any, will be provided by NJ TRANSIT in related promotional materials. Each individual may submit only one (1) Entry during the Sweepstakes Period. Multiple entries from the same person will be void. Entries must be submitted from a single, personal Instagram account. Use of multiple accounts or automated means to enter is prohibited. Entries must comply with Instagram’s terms of use and community guidelines. No other methods of entry will be accepted.

Alternate Method of Entry (“AMOE”)

To enter the Sweepstakes without posting on Instagram and tagging @njtransit in the post, you may send an email to [email protected] including full name, email address, and the subject line, “NJ TRANSIT Sleigh the Season Sweepstakes”. Entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible. Entries submitted without a registered email address may be deemed ineligible. 

NJ TRANSIT is not responsible for any technical malfunction, platform outage, or algorithmic change by Instagram or any other platform that affects the visibility, tagging, or receipt of Entries.

No purchase necessary. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. Limit one (1) entry per person per entry method. Multiple entries from the same person will be void. Use of multiple accounts or automated means to enter is prohibited.

5. Prize

One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive:

  • Two (2) tickets to Z100’s Jingle Ball, which will be held on Friday, December 12 at Madison Square Garden;
  • An exclusive artist experience for two (2); and
  • Round-trip travel on NJ TRANSIT for two (2).

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the total prize package does not exceed $600.

No substitution, cash redemption, or transfer of prize is permitted except by NJ TRANSIT, which reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable for any reason. All expenses and costs associated with acceptance or use of the prize not expressly stated in these Official Rules, including but not limited to meals, lodging, parking, and incidental expenses, are the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize is awarded “as is” without warranty or guarantee of any kind. The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance or use of the prize.

If any prize or event is canceled, delayed, or unavailable for any reason beyond NJ TRANSIT’s control, NJ TRANSIT reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value or to cancel that portion of the prize without further obligation.

6. Entry and Prize Limits

Limit one (1) entry per person.

Each participant may win only one (1) prize total from among all prize and promotional prize categories described in these Rules. Entries and actions must be completed during the Sweepstakes Period and verified by NJ TRANSIT’s representatives to qualify.

No purchase is necessary. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. 

Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of each winner. 

Entries and actions must be completed during the Sweepstakes Period and verified by NJ TRANSIT’s representatives to qualify. All entries must comply with the official sweepstakes terms, available at https://www.njtransit.com/sweeps or upon request. NJ TRANSIT is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries.

NJ TRANSIT reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these rules.

7. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

8. Winner Selection and Notification

On or about December 9, 2025, one (1) potential winning entry will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted by NJ TRANSIT, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

The potential winner will be notified via Instagram direct message or through the contact information provided through the online entry form.  Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their Instagram settings permit receipt of direct messages from @njtransit. The potential winner must respond to the notification within two (2) days (48 hours) of transmission. Failure to respond within the required time period or return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner, time permitting. The winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and any other documents required by NJ TRANSIT within the time period specified in the notification before being confirmed as the official winner.

9. Publicity Release

By accepting a prize, each winner grants NJ TRANSIT permission to use their name, photograph(s), image, likeness, and city/state of residence for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

10. General Conditions

NJ TRANSIT reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes. NJ TRANSIT may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules.

If any provision of these Official Rules is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Limitation of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless NJ TRANSIT and its affiliates, partners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.

12. Third-Party Indemnification

Each entrant agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NJ TRANSIT, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes; (b) any third-party claim alleging that entrant’s submission, entry, or other content infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates the rights of any third party; or (c) any violation of these Official Rules or of any law, rule, or regulation by the entrant. Entrant further agrees that the Released Parties shall have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.

13. Privacy

NJ TRANSIT respects the privacy of all participants. Information collected from participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering this Sweepstakes, verifying eligibility, selecting and notifying winners, awarding prizes, and fulfilling any legal or regulatory requirements.

 

NJ TRANSIT may share participant information with its employees, contractors, and authorized agents who need such information to administer the Sweepstakes, and with third parties as required by law or as directed by a governmental authority. Personal information will not be sold, rented, or otherwise disclosed to unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.

 

By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information as described in these Sweepstakes Rules.

14. Social Media Disclaimer

This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering, you understand that you are providing your information to NJ TRANSIT and not to Instagram.

15. Governing Law and Venue

The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Each Entrant consents to any suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules shall be brought exclusively in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage, or, if appropriate, in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
