Red Bank Station

Possible delays up to 10 minutes

On Saturdays, December 10 and 17, as well as Saturdays, January 7 and 14, throughout the entire service day (from 4:30AM Saturday until 2:15AM early Sunday), North Jersey Coast Line trains will be subject to delays of up to 10 minutes due to work related to the replacement of the Raritan River Draw bridge:

  • Eastbound from South Amboy to New York.
  • Westbound from Perth Amboy to Long Branch, as well as on connecting Bay Head shuttle trains.

Additionally, during this time, trains in both directions will arrive and depart from Track 2 (to Newark/New York) in both directions at Perth Amboy and South Amboy stations. Customers should check which direction the train is traveling in and listen carefully to pre-boarding announcements.

Red Bank Station

Possible delays up to 30 minutes

Beginning on Thursday, December 1 to Friday, December 9, North Jersey Coast Line trains will be subject to delays due to a crossing rehabilitation project at Sherman Avenue in Deal.

The following trips are subject to delays:

  • On weekdays, delays of up to 15 minutes are possible between 8:30AM and 3PM on all trains.
  • On Monday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 6, Train 4331 is subject to delays of up to 30 minutes.
  • On Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 from 7AM to 5PM both days, all trains are subject to delays of up to 15 minutes.

Red Bank Station

Due to the ongoing installation of a new electrical substation at Bay Head Yard, delays of up to 20 minutes are possible on westbound (to Bay Head) trains at Point Pleasant Beach and Bay Head during the following times:

    • Continuously from 8:15 AM Monday, December 12 until 3 PM Tuesday, December 13.
      • IMPORTANT NOTE: On Monday, December 12, from approximately 8:40AM until 2:45PM, NJ TRANSIT buses will replace rail service between Bay Head and Point Pleasant Beach Stations. In addition, parking will be limited this day at Bay Head Station to support substitute busing operations.
    • Wednesday, December 14 through Friday, December 16, from 8:15 AM until 3 PM each day.

On December 12, buses will operate as follows:

    • Beginning with Train 4340 (10:09AM from Bay Head) and concluding with Train 4360 (3:02PM departure from Bay Head), buses will depart Bay Head station five minutes before the scheduled train departure time and travel to Point Pleasant Beach, where connecting train service will be available. Trains will not depart Point Pleasant Beach until all passengers have transferred to the train.
    • Beginning with Train 4321 (9:17AM departure from Point Pleasant Beach) and continuing until Train 4343 (3:02PM departure from Point Pleasant Beach), connecting buses will depart Point Pleasant Beach station no earlier than 5 minutes after the train arrives. On certain trips, customers may need to wait up to 15 minutes before the bus departs Point Pleasant Beach.
